Accessible toilet
We believe music should be accessible for Disabled artists and fans. There is lots of work to do to make this happen.
For bands our size, playing gigs as a support band often means playing venues that do not have good accessibility. When we are a support act, we are not involved in choosing the venue. Although it's difficult when we are offered support shows where venue accessibility isn't good, it's important for the Mallavora project that we are able to grow and reach new audiences when given the opportunity.
The more we grow, the bigger an impact we can have. With our own headline shows, we have much more control over the event and we only play the most accessible venues possible. We do not headline venues that are not wheelchair accessible - our minimum requirement for headline venues is always 1) level/lift access and 2) accessible toilet.
We have included the section below to highlight accessibility information for each of the venues we are playing. This information has been taken directly from venue websites where possible. When a venue has not published their accessibility information, we get in touch with them directly which informs the information below.
If you have any questions about accessibility at our upcoming shows, please do not hesitate to contact us via mallavoraband@outlook.com.
LIGHT SHOW
We bring a custom light show to our live performances. This consists of LED tubes that pulse in time with the music (no strobe). The frequency of the pulses is limited to 5Hz and the brightness is not intense. If you are photosensitive and would like to see a video of these lights before attending one of our shows, please send us an email at mallavoraband@outlook.com. For those who would find it helpful, we provide sunglasses free of charge at our merch desk at all of our shows.
